City of Yonkers held a Flag Raising for the Portuguese in the Yonkers Community. The Vibrant Portuguese Community in Yonkers is truly A Major Part of Our City of Gracious Living in the City of Hills.

The Portuguese American Community Center on Park Avenue is a very famous Location in the Portuguese American in Yonkers.

Many members from the Vibrant Portuguese American Community in Yonkers were at today's Flag Raising at Yonkers City Hall. 

Elected Officials in Attendance: Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, Yonkers City Councilmembers: Shanae Williams 1st District, Corazon Pineda Issac 2nd District and Anthony Merante 6th District, New York State Assemblyman Nader Sayegh, Westchester County Executive George Latimer and Westchester County Legislator James Nolan.
