Recently, the U.S. Supreme Court through leaked information, showed that it is poised to dismantle the rights of women and undermine nearly 50 years of precedent established by Roe v. Wade. This was deeply disturbing and would be a tremendous step backward for our country's effort to protect women's rights. Women must be able to make their own healthcare decisions. The State Assembly has long fought for women to have full autonomy over their healthcare decisions, legislation I supported. The Reproductive Health Act was passed in 2019 to protect women in New York from a Supreme Court decision like the one that has been leaked to the media. One thing is clear, we must continue to work to ensure everyone can make their own healthcare decisions free from government interference. I will continue to protect the rights of women. Nader J.
