My legislation to require storm power outage service restoration for fire, police and ambulance headquarters as amended passed with sweeping bipartisan support in the Assembly 146-1.
Working with my Democratic & Republican colleagues, we produced a bipartisan solution that enables the New York State Department of Homeland Security to promptly supply generators to first responders at the time of an outage. As extreme weather events become increasingly common, it is of critical importance that we ensure our first responders have the resources they need to respond to our residents.
