Yonkers Insider: City of Yonkers: KICKING OFF POLICE WEEK WITH A SPECIAL STREET RENAMING!

 


Yonkers kicked off National Police Week with a special street renaming ceremony in honor of Police Officer Harold Woods, who was killed in the line of duty in 1974.

The City honored his legacy by holding a renaming ceremony at the intersection of Nepperhan Avenue and Odell Avenue.

The honorary street is now known as Police Officer Harold Woods Way.
