As families prepare for the end of the school year, the City of Yonkers

continually is working with Yonkers Public Schools and private schools to further improve safety measures in the event of an incident.

Police Commissioner Chris Sapienza and members of the Yonkers PD have been coordinating large-scale drills including Empress EMS and Yonkers FD, and other emergency service agencies from neighboring cities to keep Yonkers children safe.
