Yesterday, Mayor Spano presented the City Council with his proposed budget for the 2022-2023 fiscal year totaling $1.36 billion. Over the next several weeks, the City Council will hold departmental budget hearings with a goal to pass a responsible budget that provides the services the city’s residents deserve while creating efficiencies to limit spending. The City Council has a statutory date of June 1st to pass the City’s operating budget.
