The Yonkers City Council held a Legislation & Codes Committee meeting and a Budget & Finance Committee meeting yesterday evening, March 22, 2022, in addition to our regular City Council Stated Meeting. All items on the agendas appear below, as well as the decisions taken by the City Council in regard to these items. 

Legislation & Codes Committee Agenda 1.Local Law amending the Code of the City of Yonkers by repealing Chapter 38 of the Code of the City of Yonkers entitled “Third Party Delivery Services” (Kept in Committee for further discussion) 2.General Ordinance amending Chapter 68 of the Code of the City of Yonkers entitled “Smoking” (Moved to Rules Committee agenda of April 5, 2022) Budget & Finance Committee Agenda 1. Special Ordinance – Amending the budget for the COY for the 2021/2022 FY in relation to transferring funds from and to various accounts for the purpose of 1) cybersecurity consultants; 2) new museum roof; 3) the increased cost of phosphoric acid used to reduce release of lead from household plumbing as mandated by New York State (Moved to Stated Council Meeting agenda for March 22, 2022) City Council Stated Meeting Agenda 1. Special Ordinance – Amending the budget for the COY for the 2021/2022 FY in relation to transferring funds from and to various accounts for the purpose of 1) cybersecurity consultants; 2) new museum roof; 3) the increased cost of phosphoric acid (Adopted 7-0) 2. Resolution – Accepting the donation of $165,000 from the Police Fire Memorial Foundation of Yonkers (Adopted 7-0) 3. Resolution – Accepting the disposition of certain city owned surplus equipment, not needed for any municipal use, to aid the people of Ukraine (Adopted 7-0) 4.Resolution – Issuing a home rule message for Senate Bill S8387 and Assembly Bill A9490 in relation to bonds and notes (Adopted 7-0)   I encourage Yonkers city residents to keep up with these items to stay current on what is happening in our city!
