Happy International Women’s Day! Today, we join in celebrating the economic, cultural, and political achievements of women as we march towards equality.
I’m also pleased to announce that my bill amending dated gendered language in the public officers law was voted on and has advanced today. This bill would change language in New York State Law which only used male pronouns when referring to the Governor to include women, of significant importance upon the ascent of our State’s 57th and first Female Governor, Governor Kathy Hochul. I thank my colleagues for their support. Together, we’re working to empower women and make gender equality a cornerstone of our society.
New York State Assemblyman Nader Sayegh
