Vendors Encouraged to Apply for Food Vendor License at ConsumerHelp@YonkersNY.gov
YONKERS, NY – March 8, 2022 –Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and the City’s Consumer Protection Bureau today launched an open call for mobile food vendors in the City of Yonkers in its efforts to assist business owners who are navigating the financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The City wants to provide our businesses the chance to take their food on the road,” said Mayor Spano. “Food trucks offer affordable options and more importantly, provides more opportunities for Yonkers residents to get back to business.”
The annual license allows trucks or carts to not only vend anywhere on city streets but to also participate in all Special Events. Vendors must follow all parking rules, city codes and follow state, county regulations of operating a mobile food cart or truck.
To apply for a Food Vendor License, business owners are urged to contact the Yonkers Consumer Protection Helpline at (914) 377-3000 or email ConsumerHelp@YonkersNY.gov.
