The Yonkers City Council held a Rules Committee Meeting last night, January 4, 2022. All items on the agenda appear below, as well as the decisions taken by the City Council in regard to these items. 

Items for Consideration by Administration 1. Resolution – Reappointment of Joseph Cianciulli as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals Board. (No Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (Moved to City Council Stated Meeting agenda of January 11, 2021.) 2. Resolution – Approving two Inter-Municipal Agreements between the County of Westchester and the City of Yonkers to reimburse the City for providing positive Youth Development Programs. (No Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (Moved to City Council Stated Meeting agenda of January 11, 2021.) 3. Resolution – Approving an Inter Municipal Agreement by and between the City of Yonkers and the County of Westchester for Residential Food Scrap Transportation and Disposal Program for Refuse Disposal District #1. (Negative Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (Moved to Environmental Policy and Protection Committee for further discussion.) 4. Resolution – Authorizing City of Yonkers to seek review of Fiscal Years 2021 and 2022 New York City Water Rates by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. (No Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (Moved to City Council Stated Meeting agenda of January 11, 2021.) 5. Resolution – Approving and Inter Municipal Agreement by and between the City of Yonkers and the County of Westchester to accept Grant Funding for the Grassy Sprain Dam Project. (Neutral Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (Moved to Municipal Operations and Public Safety Committee for further discussion.) 6. Special Ordinance – Authorizing acceptance of County Grant Funding from Westchester County , in the amount of $250,000 and amending the City of Yonkers Grant Budget for Fiscal Year 2021/22. (Positive Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (Moved to Municipal Operations and Public Safety Committee for further discussion.) Items for Consideration by City Council 1. By Minority Leader Breen - A Local Law Amending Section C8a-1 of Article VIIIA of the Charter of the City of Yonkers in Relation to the Commissioner of Housing and Buildings. (Moved to Municipal Operations and Public Safety Committee for further discussion.) 2. By Councilmember Merante - Resolution of the Yonkers City Council to Honor the Family And Community’s Request to Honorarily Rename the Portion of Horatio Street between Dunbar Street and Clement Street “Rita Gross Nelson” Way. (Moved to City Council Stated Meeting agenda of January 11, 2021.) (Public Hearing to be held on January 11, 2021 at 7pm).  I encourage Yonkers city residents to keep up with these items to stay current on what is happening in our city!
