Yonkers Insider: Yonkers City Council Rules Committee Meeting and Legislation & Codes - December 7, 2021.

 


The Yonkers City Council held a Legislation & Codes Committee Meeting, as well as a Rules Committee Meeting this evening, December 7, 2021. All items on the agendas appear below, as well as the decisions taken by the City Council in regard to these items.

Legislation & Codes Committee Meeting

1. Local Law to amend Chapter 38 of Part IV of the Code of the City of Yonkers entitled "Business Regulations, Licensing and Consumer Protection, Third Party Food Delivery Services" to add a new Section 38-4 'Sunset Provision' (Kept in Committee for further discussion)
 
2. General Ordinance - amending Chapter 91 of the Code of the City of Yonkers also known as "Garbage and Refuse" in regards to commercial garbage collections (Positive Fiscal Impact) (Kept in Committee for further discussion)

1. Settlement by Law Department -$ 14,336.42 – STATE FARM a/s/o
ANTONIO HENRIQUES – claimant sustained property damage to their stone wall at 124 Park Avenue when it was struck by a City of Yonkers police vehicle on July 3, 2020. (Fiscal impact – amount of settlement.) (All Councilmembers.) - Moved to City Council Stated Meeting agenda of December 14, 2021
 
2. Settlement by Law Department -$ 60,000.00 – MARY JEAN HOWLAND - claimant sustained personal injuries when she tripped and fell on the steps at the Third Precinct at 435 Riverdale Avenue due to defective sign and missing handrail.
