"Operation Clean Plate" resulted in more than 50 cars being impounded by city and county police over the weekend. The Yonkers Police Department and Westchester County Police Department impounded vehicles with improperly registered vehicles with expired, unlawful or fake paper license plates. In addition, dozens of summons were issued.
Officials said many vehicles with illegal registrations are closely tied to
quality-of-life complaints, including aggressive driving, noise pollution and parking violations.
The City of Yonkers will continue to plan future "Operation Clean Plate" enforcement action stings.
Yonkers City Councilman John Rubbo 4th District.
