Yonkers Insider: Statement from Yonkers City Council Majority Leader Corazon Pineda Issac 2nd District: Happy Thanksgiving!

 


I would like to begin by wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving! I am looking forward to tonight's dinner with my family, and I am very thankful for everyone that helps make our community a better place. On a day like this, it is important to recognize that for every amazing Thanksgiving dinner, there are people who unfortunately have to do without. This is why I place so much importance on food insecurity, and do my best in hosting food distributions that serve the community. It has also been extremely rewarding to participate in Thanksgiving turkey drives that will directly bring food to the tables of our Yonkers residents.

I truly appreciate the opportunity to celebrate this day with my family and give thanks to all that is well in our lives. Happy Thanksgiving!
