JOIN THE DAUGHTERS OF LIBERTY’S LEGACY and WESTCHESTER COUNTY PARKS FOR A LOOK BACK AT HOW OUR FOUNDERS CELEBRATED (OR NOT) THE HOLIDAYS IN COLONIAL AMERICA. NOVEMBER 21, 2021 at 1PM We will travel back through time 400 years as the Pilgrims give thanks for their survival, then to New England where in some colonies, Christmas was illegal! We will see how the early Colonist recognized the holidays and the traditions they brought with them across the Atlantic. Did George Washington celebrate Christmas? Paul Revere? The Patriot Miller family? Join us as we usher in the holidays and find out. Included is a tour of historic Miller House with the lady of the house “Ann Fisher Miller”.
