Yonkers Insider: City of Yonkers: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED.

 

The Family Service Society of Yonkers is looking for volunteers to join its academic support program to work with elementary-aged children on their assignments.  The volunteers are asked to assist children with literacy and other work on a one-to-one basis.  The mentors and children are to meet once a week for an hour via Zoom, although there may be some limited opportunity for in-person mentoring.  Volunteers need internet access and a computer.   Contact Madeline Finesmith at mfinesmith@jcy-wcp.com for more information.
