Yonkers Insider: City of Yonkers: POW-MIA FLAG CEREMONY.

 


Wednesday, October 27, Alana Kindelan and Natalie Naughton ~ Girl Scout Troop 1730, completed their Silver Badge project by raising and purchasing 100 POW-MIA (Prisoner of War ~ Missing in Action) Flags for the City of Yonkers.  Their goal was to make sure that this symbolic flag proudly flies over all schools, parks, police and fire stations, libraries and government buildings throughout Yonkers.  They made it their business to ensure that we never forget those who never made it home.  Well done girls.  You have made
the City of Yonkers proud.
