White Plains, NY -- Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah announced that Mount Vernon resident Donald Bennett pled guilty to burglarizing schools in communities throughout Westchester after he unlawfully entered several school buildings between 2020 and 2021.

Bennett, 62, pled guilty on October 26, 2021, to Burglary in the Third Degree, a felony, which covered all of the charges in the indictment. Bennett, a second felony offender, faces a minimum sentencing range of 2 to 4 years in state prison and a maximum sentencing range of 3 ½ to 7 years in a state prison.

Between February 20, 2020, and February 28, 2021, Bennett unlawfully entered and stole items from Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Scarsdale, The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, Mercy College in Irvington, and Waverly School in Eastchester.
