Dear Friend,
This week, I held my annual "Backpack to School" drive, and with the help of the community, we presented 600 filled backpacks with school supplies to the students at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy.
To date, we have given out nearly 11,000 backpacks with school supplies to public school students, nonprofit organizations, churches, and countless other community groups in the City of Yonkers over the past ten years.
Thank you to all who donated including, Yonkers residents, city employees, Heavenly Productions Foundation, Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts, Master Chef Nikko, First Group, Castle Royale, Precision Concierge, Rock & Rod's Collector Car Club, Ridge Hill, and Elite Investigations.
Their support speaks volumes about the strength of our community. I am proud of the positive impact our city can provide our students.
