We recently co-hosted a virtual town hall with mayors from four states in the Mid-Atlantic region, including Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan. The mayors called on Congress to pass the Build Back Better $3.5 trillion infrastructure and climate plan.

The State is considering several proposals to bring renewable energy, including hydropower, into New York City from Upstate NY. “We are going to need power from upstate and north of New York City in order to meet our climate objectives,” said our president Julie Tighe. (Associated Press)
The Lockport Town Planning Board approved a permit for a 7-megawatt solar power project that was developed with a co-existence of uses. Along with solar panels, the land will also be used for sheep, bees, and possibly chickens, rabbits, and row crops. (Buffalo News)
