Gang/gun violence continues to be an issue in our communities and now politicians are out in force condemning the violence when they are the ones partially responsible for it. First by their actions (bail reform, closing Rikers, the diaphram bill, etc...) and second by their anti-police rhetoric. Now these elected officials are having "stop the violence" press conferences to say the same thing over and over. I am running for Bronx Borough President not to talk but to act. The Bronx deserves better. I am on the ballot this November running as an independent Democrat endorsed by the Bronx County Conservative Party . I ask my fellow Democrats that they do not need to vote party line if they want change. It is time we demand more from our elected officials who have let us down.
