Yonkers Public Library (YPL) salutes the students, teachers, and families that made it through a long and difficult school year. Although there were challenges, we believe our learning community is coming out of this pandemic more tech-savvy, resilient, and focused on equity than it was before.
We want everyone to enjoy a well-earned summer vacation - and reading every day should be part of it. Not only will you enjoy good books, but it can prevent the loss of school-year gains in reading and math that make it harder to readjust back into the new school year.
Thankfully, summer reading is fun and free with your Yonkers Public Library (YPL) card! This year’s summer reading theme is “Tails and Tales.” We encourage children and parents to read every day this summer.
