A new electric school bus, which will be the first deployed in New York City this September, was unveiled at an event in Brooklyn that our staff attended. We are leading a campaign to transition all of the school buses in the state to zero-emissions buses. (Staten Island Advance)
Homeowners may soon be seeking alternatives when they want to patch or seal their driveways. Lawmakers passed a bill that would ban the use of coal tar, the dense acrid-smelling goo that is used in domestic and commercial pavement sealing. (Albany Times Union)

The Friends of the Upper Delaware River (FUDR) is educating the public on the impacts of the spread of invasive species like Japanese Knotweed in the Delaware River watershed. NYLCVEF is partnering with FUDR on protecting the vital waterway and combating invasive species because it helps improve water quality and promotes a healthy aquatic habitat. (WDHI)
