New York State Insider: Statement from New York State Senator Shelley Mayer 37th District.

 

Dear Friends,  Summer is officially here! Before we move onto our summer activities and programs, I would like to thank our educators, staff, boards of education and parents who worked tirelessly to provide for our students during the school year.  This week, I had the honor of meeting many students and educators. From the Living History Education Foundation and teachers Rob Buccheri and Keith Reilly, to the young entrepreneurs of the Girls With Impact Program in Yonkers, and the graduates of the BRIDGE School in Rye Brook - I was truly inspired.  I also held virtual forums on Facebook and Zoom with my colleagues in government Assemblymember Steve Otis, Assemblymember Chris Burdick and Senator Pete Harckham. They covered a number of topics including New York State grant opportunities, the Emergency Rental Assistance Program and the 2021 Legislative Session.
