NYS law only authorizes voters to vote on school budgets. Vote on the school budget and for School Board members tomorrow (Tuesday)
School districts are independent of the town government. School budgets/taxes must be approved by voters under NYS law. Tomorrow (Tuesday, May 17th) is school election day and there are votes on school budgets and for School Board members in the school district where you live.
Please vote for the School Board members of your choice at the school district voting location. And, please review the proposed school budget and then vote. Democracy depends on your participation. Check your school districts website for time and location of voting location.
In New York State voters can only vote on one budget - school budgets.
