This Workers' Memorial Day we hope you will consider taking part in our WMD and COVID remembrance ceremony and virtual journal.
For 16 years, we have hosted a vigil where we pay tribute to workers who've made the ultimate sacrifice on the job in the previous year. With monies raised, we have placed permanent memorial benches throughout Westchester and Putnam Counties. We have benches placed throughout the Putnam County Bike Trail, in several parks in White Plains and are ready for five to be placed in Croton this year. These permanent memorials provide a place to rest, reflect and remember. This past year added another layer of loss. We've lost union members, family members, friends, neighbors, community partners. We remain committed to advocating for safe working conditions, proper safety protections and a voice at work. Join our virtual ceremony and consider placing a journal ad commemorating your loved one or highlighting your members in this virtual journal.
