Yonkers Insider: Statement from Yonkers City Council Majority Leader Corazon Pineda Issac 2nd District.

 

It has been very difficult understanding and processing the many atrocities that have continuously occurred in this country. In the last two weeks alone, we have had three incidents of mass shootings, in Georgia, Colorado, and California. The latest mass shooting took the lives of four people, including a child, in what appears to be a premeditated decision. In the midst of a pandemic taking thousands of lives, these events come down like a ton of bricks just further engulfing us in sadness and dismay. My sincerest condolences go out to the people and families of those negatively affected by these events. I hope we can come together as a community to build bridges instead of walls. Please stay safe everyone!
