We hope that the consultant we hire will help us revitalize the local business districts
The Greenburgh Town Board approved the services of Grella Partnership Strategies (GPS) for economic development-related consultation to the Town. A multi-month RFQ/RFP process preceded the Board’s selection, which was aided by a review committee comprised of residents (Planning Board members, real estate professionals), and commercial property owners/managers in the Town. The process for a consultant launched in late 2019 and was relaunched as a result of a pandemic-related pause. Major focus areas of the Consultant will be on the Town’s major mixed-use corridors (Central/Rt. 119/Rt. 9A), opportunities related to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and ensuring that diversity and equity are concepts at the forefront of sustainable economic development in the Town. GPS President Mike Grella spoke briefly at the end of the Town Board meeting on March 24th. A link to some of the innovative ideas GPS intends to bring to the Town follows: https://youtu.be/bfqmXN9lXrA
There are many vacant properties in our business districts. We look forward to working with Grella Partnerships on strategies to help our local businesses.

Greenburgh Town Supervisor
