We start this Candidate Spotlight to introduce our readers to Tim Hodges, Endorsed Democratic Party Candidate in the June 22nd Democratic Party Primary. Tim is a life-long Yonkers Resident and He is a Homeowner, Husband and Father. Tim grew up on Caryl Avenue in Southwest Yonkers with his very close family. Tim Hodges has spent the last 3 Decades as a first responder, previously holding the rank of Yonkers Deputy Police Chief and He currently works at St. John's Hospital as the Head of Security.
Through his time as Deputy Police Chief, Tim implemented many safety programs to keep our streets safe including the Gun Buy Back Program to attempt to keep our streets safe from guns that should be not be on our streets. Tim also played a large role in making sure that Yonkers Schools had proper safety procedures in place and proper drills as well.
Tim has a great passion to help make out City a better place to live. He is a Community Activist and is very involved in the Yonkers Community. He serves in organizations like The Rotary Club and Mexican Chamber of Commerce, just to name a few organizations that he is part of.
Tim Hodges is looking at his next role in his career of Public Service and that is to run for Yonkers City Council in the 6th District to continue to help our City of Hills on the Yonkers City Council, if he gets elected.
Issues that matter to Tim Hodges in this Campaign are the Following: To Yonkers Affordable by keeping taxes low for Our Residents of Yonkers. Also to make sure to be a fighter for Education in Yonkers to make sure that our Schools are properly funded to help our School Children in our City. To do more to invest in the Infrastructure in the City of Yonkers. Also issues of Quality of Life in Our City does matter to Tim Hodges, Quality of Life Issues like Drag Racing, Noise Complaints and Speeding Complaints as well.
