Youth Advisory Council's first initiative --keeping students safe walking at night.
Reflective masks make it easier for motorists to see students walking
MEET THE MEMBERS OF THE EDGEMONT YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL TO GREENBURGH TOWN SUPERVISOR PAUL FEINER
THE 7th AND 8TH GRADERS HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTING REFLECTIVE MASKS TO STUDENTS TO KEEP STUDENTS SAFE WHEN WALKING AT NIGHT...
We’re the Youth Advisory Council to Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner, a group of seventh and eighth graders from Edgemont who are trying to make a difference in our community. We started a few months ago and we are nearing the end of the first project in our pedestrian safety initiative. This initiative is one that we hope will be replicated elsewhere in other communities. For our first project, we fundraised money and bought reflective masks to encourage pedestrian and Covid-19 Safety. We created a public Instagram account by the name of greenburghyouthcouncil_2020. We are trying to spread the awareness of what we are trying to achieve and will be posting our efforts there. We are excited for what is to come and hope you will be able to help us join us and experience it together. Please contact
sikarthik@student.edgemont.org the effort promoting pedestrian safety and reflective masks.
