Greenburgh Insider: Amazing scholarship for veterans who want to become math teachers at Mercy College.

 


A great scholarship opportunity for veterans who want to become math teachers.

Dr. William Farber, an Associate Professor  of Mathematics Education at Mercy College and a United States Navy Veteran (1968 – 1974). Mercy College is offering a wonderful scholarship opportunity to military veterans and reservists, to earn a tuition-free Master of Science Degree in Mathematics Education and become a secondary mathematics teacher in our high need schools. Great news, the National Science Foundation recently approved their  request to recruit a new cohort of veterans for the program!  I interviewed Professor Farber on my WVOX radio program and he discussed the scholarship opportunities.  Dr. Farber is passionate about this initiative and believes that residents who apply and get accepted in this program will have a great chance of having successful and rewarding careers.
