FIX IT! Greenburgh will enable you to quickly and easily report potholes, quality of life issues from your phone to the town using GPS technology.
On Tuesday at 6:45 PM residents and the Greenburgh Town Board will have the opportunity to hear a presentation of a new initiative the town plans to launch shortly --"FIX IT! Greenburgh" is an interesting new initiative the town will be embarking on to make it easier for residents to forward complaints to the town, using technology. Among the features:
· Allows citizens to quickly and easily report quality of life issues.
· Encounter a pothole? See a street light that needs fixing? Report it using the “Fix It! Greenburgh” mobile app for your smartphone via the Apple or Android App Store. Don't know the location? FIX IT! Greenburgh uses GPS.
· Citizens who report issues will receive an automated response letting them know that their issue has been received. Once an issue has been assigned, another email will be sent to provide a status update.
FIX IT GREENBURGH program will share the info with Public Works using GPS technology. The meeting will be streamed live on the town website: www.greenburghny.com. Funding was included in the just approved capital budget. Last year, because of the pandemic, the town deferred all capital expenditures -resulting in the delayed start of this initiative.
