Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As NYSDOT resumes its work on the Ravensdale Bridge reconstruction project in Hastings-on-Hudson, please be advised that the Saw Mill River Parkway will be closed at night through April 2nd.
Southbound traffic will be diverted via Ashford Avenue, and northbound via Route 9A. The closures will allow for large steel sections spanning the Parkway to be craned in and placed them on top of the bridge abutments on either side.
The contractor is on schedule to open the new Ravensdale Bridge to traffic in June, on the following anticipated timeframe:
- May: Completion of Bridge Substructure
- June: Completion of Bridge Superstructure, Utilities, Roadway and Approaches & Opening of New Ravensdale Bridge to Traffic
- August: Removal of the Temporary Bridge
- October: Completion of Roadway Reconstruction and Landscaping
Much thanks to Hastings-on-Hudson Village Trustees Morgen Fleisig and Georgia Lopez for keeping the community informed as this project progresses.
Sincerely,
