INCLUDE MILLION-DOLLAR-PLUS CUOMO BOOK REVENUE, DOCTORED NURSING HOME STATISTICS IN IMPEACHMENT DELIBERATIONS. 

 

Brooklyn, NY - Governor Cuomo’s doctoring of nursing home death statistics — just as he was negotiating a reported seven-figure book advance with Crown publishing for ‘American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic’ (Oct. 2020, Crown) — should be included in New York State Assembly impeachment deliberations on the governor, State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar said today. 

 

“If the true number of nursing home deaths had been known during

Governor Cuomo’s negotiations with Crown Publishing, it’s difficult to believe

that his book would have even been published,” Mr. Kassar said. “So, the

uncomfortable question of motive has to be asked: ‘Did Governor Cuomo doctor those numbers in order to publish a book that would reap him substantial financial gain?’ This question should lie at or near the heart of any

impeachment inquiry.” 

 

The State Conservative Party has repeatedly called on Governor Cuomo to reveal the exact amount of money he received for a book largely based

on a false premise, i.e., expert handling of the Covid-19 crisis. Governor

Cuomo has heretofore refused to release those numbers prior to a required May financial disclosure report. The Conservative Party maintains the public, whom Governor Cuomo serves, deserves to know how much he profited now, while impeachment talks are in progress.
