Mount Vernon Insider: Election Desk 2021: Petitions for Darren M. Morton for Comptroller Have Been Filed.

 

We're happy to report that petitions signed in support of the candidacy of Dr. Darren M. Morton have been submitted to the Westchester County Board of Elections for our candidate to be placed on the June 22nd Democratic Primary ballot. The support shown for Darren is encouraging. As we wait for the official Democratic Primary slate to be announced, our candidate will continue to push his message of accountability and fiscal responsibility that Mount Vernon deserves. Darren believes that everyone deserves respect and answers, whether vendor, taxpayer, resident or employee. He also believes that as Comptroller, he is an agent of the taxpayer, not himself or any private interest. Darren Morton will conduct Comptroller affairs with integrity, commitment and respect. There is no doubt that our city needs leadership to meet the challanges that lie ahead. Rebuilding our Finance Department will be no easy task. Darren can work with the administrative and legislative branches of our local government to better serve our residents. He is ready to do the job for us.
