OVERTIME LAWSUIT: #AlexisMontero, a #MountVernon sewer maintenance worker, filed a lawsuit claiming he was not paid or or was paid late for 40 plus hours of overtime he earned between September 1st and March 1st. MOUNT VERNON: Comptroller #DeborahReynolds says the delays in overtime payments from the fall were the result of the #MountVernonDPW not submitting the records into the city's new payroll system. Mr. Montero's annual salary is $67,911. The overtime hours he claimed were not paid on time amounted to just over $2,000. The failure to pay this worker is a violation of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard and DPW Commissioner Damani Bush are also named in the lawsuit.
