Westchester Insider: Westchester County: “Dine On Westchester” Helps Restaurants and Diners Navigate the Pandemic.

“Dine On Westchester” Helps Restaurants and Diners Navigate the Pandemic.

Free Marketing Program from Westchester County Tourism & Film is Open to All Eateries in the County.

(White Plains, NY) – Westchester County Tourism & Film announced “Dine On Westchester,” an initiative to support local restaurants’ resilience through the economic challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program, which launched with more than 50 restaurants last week, provides local residents and visitors an easy way to search Westchester eateries geographically and by their current service options – take-out, curbside pick-up, delivery, outdoor dining, or other creative evolutions. It also allows restaurateurs to highlight their health and safety measures in free online listings.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer said: “Westchester County is renowned for its hospitality, and our hospitality industry – including our great restaurants – is a critical component of our economy and our quality of life. We encourage everyone to patronize their favorite restaurants and to try a few new ones while we all cope with these difficult times.”

Founder of Hudson Hospitality Group, which operates several restaurants, a saloon and a microbrewery in Peekskill, N.Y., Louie Lanza said: “Dine On Westchester will help ensure there are still restaurants to return to, when the pandemic loosens its grip on us. The support of the County, of Westchester County Tourism & Film, and of our loyal patrons is essential – and greatly appreciated.”

Brimming with global tastes and local flavors, dining in Westchester County is a delight and a draw. The world has noticed, with awards streaming in to our restaurant community, from Michelin stars to best-of lists.

Customers can explore the County’s dining scene on VisitWestchesterNY.com, Westchester’s official tourism website.

Restaurateurs can join the program – again, it is absolutely free of charge to Westchester County businesses – simply by completing an online form.
