WESTCHESTER COUNTY EXECUTIVE GEORGE LATIMER RELEASES STATEMENT ON NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN UNITED HEALTHCARE AND MONTEFIORE.

 “At this point, the negotiations between United Healthcare and Montefiore are still unresolved – putting thousands of Westchester residents and specifically Westchester County employees at risk. 

 

“The employees of Westchester County, who have worked and cared for this County during a pandemic, deserve coverage, and many of them have medical services provided through the Montefiore system. My job is to look out for County residents and employees, which is why we will explore other alternatives to protect our workforce that are served by Montefiore. 

 

“This disruption cannot continue – it is unfair to the people who have put their trust and faith in United Healthcare.”
