Yonkers Insider: Town of Greenburgh Report: Payne Street water main break--crews are repairing.

 

There was a water main break on Payne Street last night. And some residents of North Elmsford have not had water. Our Water Dept. Team is doing their best to address the break but the repair made did not hold due to the irregular shape of the pipe. We have crews out trying to make the repairs. I anticipate that the water will be back on later today. Just spoke with the Commissioner of Public Works, Rich Fon. Since the pipe is irregular the repairs made today may be temporary and the crews will be back on Tuesday (tomorrow is Martin Luther Kings birthday) making permanent repairs. Sorry for the inconvenience. Our public works department is working hard trying to address this important problem. PAUL FEINER
