YONKERS NEWSWIRE >>> IN MEMORIAM: Dr. Huda Musa Rabadi 1948-2021 PHOTO >>> THE RABADI FAMILY IN WESTCHESTER: It is with great sadness and heavy heart that we share the passing of beloved Our Aunt, Dr. Huda Musa Rabadi, who passed away on Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 at King Abdullah University Hospital in Ajloun, Jordan. Huda was born December 21st, 1948 in Ajloun, Jordan. She was the youngest of 6 children, and graduated from Al-Nahda Al-Arabia high school in 1968. Huda Moved to the United States in 1969 and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mercy college in 1979. Afterwards she received three Masters degrees, in Psychology, Education (with Permanent Certification as a School Counselor) and Special Education, from Long Island University. Huda also went to complete a Doctorate Degree in Psychology. During the period from 1971 to1976 she worked with various schools in the New York area, developing second language programs to assist immigrant students. After that she worked as a Committee Advisor in Educational Development and Civil Awareness for the Arabic Committee, as well as a translator for Westchester County from 1976 to 1986. In addition to her role as a Committee Advisor, she taught various courses at Mercy College, such as Psychology Today, Practical Counseling and School Counseling, from 1981to1984. Huda moved back to Jordan in 1986, where she worked as a Dean’s Assistant at Queen Alia College from1987t o 1991. From 1992 to 1996 served as Head of Guidance and Counseling for the Directorate of Handicapped Affairs. Her final achievement was working as the Director of Interior Control and Surveillance for the Ministry of Social Development from 1996 to 2008. Huda will always be remembered for her love of family, especially her siblings, nieces and nephews. She is survived by her three siblings Nafal, Najeeb, Victoria, as well as her many nieces and nephews. She also had two siblings, Suleiman and Naemeh, who are deceased. She will indeed be forever missed by all those whose lives she touched. Memorial Services will be held this Sunday, January 17th at 12:00 pm at St. George's Orthodox Church/Church of Our Savior, 2195 Westchester Ave East, Rye, NY 10580.
