YONKERS ROUNDUP: Nepperhan Community Center’s MLK Virtual Breakfast To Honer MBK Activist Joshua Heron PHOTO: NYS MBK Fellow Joshua Heron with Mysonne in Albany YONKERS: The Board of Directors and staff of the Nepperhan Community Center will celebrate our 35th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Virtual Celebration on Monday January 18 at 6pm by honoring Joshua Heron. This year’s virtual celebration will feature Grammy Award winning jazz and gospel recording artist Jonathan Butler, as well as, Joshua Heron a freshman at Howard University, and former graduate of the Yonkers Public Schools. Joshua has been an integral part of President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Movement. He has been very instrumental in using his voice as a powerful medium for change in our nation. He is guided by his love of God and has used his faith in God to speak out against injustices that we have witnessed against African Americans.
