Yonkers Insider: Town of Greenburgh News.

Police Chief McNerney offered a compromise proposal: residents with special needs could apply for a permit and be granted exemption from snow parking ordinance. Watch his presentation by clicking onto link: https://greenburghny.new.swagit.com/videos/91951 Last week I invited residents to comment on our snow parking ordinance - prohibiting cars from parking on town streets between December 1 and March 15th. I received many comments (posted them on the website of the town 11/13-without names or e mail addresses) from residents --pro and con. Many residents have commented that they don't have a large enough driveway for their cars and the current ordinance creates problems for their family. They point out that in recent years it doesn't snow every week - they feel they should be able to park their cars on streets when snow is not anticipated. At our Town Board work session on November 11th Police Chief Chris McNerney discussed a compromise proposal.
