I am happy to share an update on the Yonkers Public Schools.
Starting Monday, October 5th, Yonkers will shift from 100% Online Remote Instruction for all students to Hybrid Instruction, where students can return to school for in-person learning.
With the support of the City of Yonkers, Yonkers Public Schools invested nearly $12 million to upgrade ventilation systems, provide face masks, shields, and other precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students, teachers and staff.
In the end, our goal is the same: to provide our students with the best education possible while placing them in a healthy and safe learning environment.
I look forward to seeing the smiling faces and hearing the laughter of our children once again as they enter their classrooms.
