Dear Friends,
I've always said that the diversity of our city is our greatest strength. Immigrants built our city, and today immigrant communities contribute to every facet of life here in Yonkers.
The pursuit of the American Dream is alive and attainable. Let us never forget our country's history and the lessons we've learned from our past.
As an Italian-American who watched his own immigrant grandparents work hard and find success in Yonkers, I feel tremendous pride when celebrating this day.
Please join me in recognizing the history, success, and many Italian-Americans' achievements in the City of Yonkers and beyond.
