Yonkers Insider: Westchester County: AUTUMN CHANGES, A NEW FALL EXHIBIT AND TRAIN SHOW AT LASDON PARK & ARBORETUM.

AUTUMN CHANGES, A NEW FALL EXHIBIT AND TRAIN SHOW
AT LASDON PARK & ARBORETUM.

Learn that change can be good with new fall exhibit and train show, “Autumn Changes: Change can be Good,” in the Conservatory at Westchester’s public garden, Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial, in Somers, which opens Friday, Oct. 9. Dates, times and tickets available at LasdonPark.org.

The new exhibit follows a fallen little Tupelo Leaf, who doesn’t want to change his colors and sets off on a journey to understand why it is so important for leaves to change color in fall. The 2,400 square foot exhibit features four giant G-scale train layouts with over 300 feet of track, surrounded by miniature landscapes and animated characters tucked within an array of colorful plants, flowers, shrubs and trees.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer said: “Lasdon’s new exhibit and train show is art imitating life as we have had to quickly adjust to changes this year. The exhibit is not only a beautiful fall feature, but a wonderful learning tool for children.”

Tickets will be sold online only with scheduled viewing times, no tickets will be sold on-site. All visitors will be required to wear masks inside the Conservatory and observe all safety rules.

Pre-sale tickets are available through October 5. Admission is $10 per adult, $5 per child (children up to 24 months free). $7 per senior. After October 5, online tickets will be sold at regular price of $20 per adult, $10 per child (children up to 24 months free). $15 per senior.

The exhibit is presented by Westchester County Parks and the Friends of Lasdon Park and Arboretum with support by Houlihan Lawrence of Somers, Mary Ward and Carol Cirieco, West-Fair Electric and Whitehall Auto.

Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial is a Westchester County Park on Route 35 in Somers. The GPS address is 2610 Amawalk Road, Katonah, NY 10536.
