Good progress today re: Con Ed restoration. There are 2,232 customers without power in unincorporated Greenburgh. According to the Greenburgh police Con Ed estimates that power to be restored by August 10, at 11:00 PM. This morning the number was 3,100 without power.
The original number on Tuesday was 5,400 customers out of 19,000+ customers in Greenburgh. Progress --finally!
The bad news-- Con Ed is failing to provide residents with accurate information. My neighbors and I have been out of power since Tuesday. Early this week we heard that service would be restored Sunday.
Then, Tuesday. Today we received a text that we would get power back Monday evening. And, later in the evening we got another text saying Wednesday. Some residents in the complex I live in had power- lost the power two days later (not storm related). Con Ed did not advise why they shut off the power and when power would be restored.
