Yonkers Insider: Town of Greenburgh Desk.
Good progress today re: Con Ed restoration. There are 2,232 customers without power in unincorporated Greenburgh. According to the Greenburgh police Con Ed estimates that power to be restored by August 10, at 11:00 PM. This morning the number was 3,100 without power.
The original number on Tuesday was 5,400 customers out of 19,000+ customers in Greenburgh. Progress --finally!
The bad news-- Con Ed is failing to provide residents with accurate information. My neighbors and I have been out of power since Tuesday. Early this week we heard that service would be restored Sunday.
Then, Tuesday. Today we received a text that we would get power back Monday evening. And, later in the evening we got another text saying Wednesday. Some residents in the complex I live in had power- lost the power two days later (not storm related). Con Ed did not advise why they shut off the power and when power would be restored. Received similar complaints from residents of Hartsdale--
