We have all overcome so many personal challenges during and after the global pandemic that shocked our city, state, and nation. As we looked toward recovery, there are many questions we all have, including the start of a new school year, as our students' safety is paramount.
There is no doubt there has been so much talk about what the start of the new school year will look like, and working with the Board of Education, teachers, and families, the Yonkers School District has put together a comprehensive plan centered around the safety of our children.
As we transition to a new school year, students will be learning remotely for the first month, while school teachers will now be instructing from the classroom.
The District will continue to consider families and teachers concerns as our goal are to have students return to school learning in a safe academic environment.
