YONKERS MAYOR SPANO TO ANNOUNCE LAUNCH OF POLICE BODY CAMERA PILOT PROGRAM.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and Yonkers Police Commissioner John Mueller will announce the  launch of Yonkers Police’s new police body camera pilot program Tuesday, August 18 at 10:30AM at Yonkers City Hall.

The City of Yonkers signed onto a free three-month pilot program with Axon, which includes the use of 16 cameras and training.  Starting August 20, select members of the Yonkers Police Department will wear Axon Flex 3 body cameras during their patrol tours.
