MAYOR MIKE SPANO TO DISTRIBUTE OVER 400 BACKPACKS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO SCHOOL 23 STUDENTS AT 9th ANNUAL “BACKPACK TO SCHOOL” DRIVE.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will join School Superintendent Dr. Edwin Quezada, Board of Education Trustees, parents, students and staff of School 23 in Yonkers for the 9^th Annual “Backpack to School Drive” Wednesday, September 9^th at 3:30 PM at School 23 (outside front lawn), at 56 Van Cortlandt Park Avenue.

The backpacks and school supplies received through the “Backpack to School Drive” will be distributed to students as they are scheduled to return to school on Monday, October 5^th for hybrid instruction.  Backpacks and school supplies were donated by sponsors Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts, Heavenly Productions Foundation, Rock & Rod’s Collector Car Club, Castle Royale, MRP Lawrence Marketing, Precision Concierge, Ridge Hill, and Yonkers residents.
