I discussed many issues with New York State Senator Shelley Mayer in this Telephone Interview from issues of Her and Her Office being very active in helping her constituents during the COVID Issue as well as discussing New York State Budget Issues in terms of AIM Funding for Municipalities during these tough financial times and all the State Senator and her staff for the different Municipalities that she represents in the New York State Senate in the 37th District.
Senator Mayer is the Chair of the New York State Senate Education Committee, A very important Committee and Job. Senator Mayer and her Staff has been very active during COVID Pandemic. She has gone to all Group Homes in her District to drop off Pizzas to honor Our First Responders to thank them for all they do for all of us. Senator Mayer and Her Staff has been active since COVID Pandemic, first started in New Rochelle at a School, She takes her responsibility as State Senate Education Chair very seriously and She has a tremendous Staff that helps her always.
Senator Mayer has been very involved on 3 Major Issues in this COVID Pandemic with the help of her Staff: 1. Food Insecurity. 2 PPE. 3. Unemployment. She has been involved in with helping Food Pantries and handing out over 2,000 Mask to Community, Tomorrow She hands out more Masks in Port Chester with the help of NAACP and She has also handed out Hand Sanitizers, which is helpful in these times.
Senator Mayer always does this in an effort of working together for the good of the People that She represents in the New York State Senate. She always fights very hard for Her Constituents, with the help of her Great Staff in Her Office. She recently worked with New York State Senator Peter Harckham on a Food Drive in the Northern Part of her District to help People with Food during these tough Financial times in terms of Food Insecurities.
Senator Mayer has been focused on helping people on Issues on Unemployment and being a fighter for Constituents on this issue with her hard working Staff. She has also worked hard on issues like: College Debt, Working with Individuals in Latino Community and other Major Issues to always put the people first. She hopes that United States Senate will help include New York State in the Federal Stimulus, She is asking both sides work together for the good of our State, In terms of United States Senate Passing a Federal Stimulus that helps our State and the President signing that Bill.
New York State is holding back Payment of $19 Million Dollars to Yonkers in terms of AIM Funding - Aid to Municipalities, That's why it is vital that the Federal Stimulus help New York State, which currently has a $10 Billion Dollar Budget Deficit. Without help, NYS will cut funding to Education, Other Services, Group Homes, AIM - Aid to Municipalities and Eviction Services as well. This can't happen, The Federal Government must step up and help our State. That's the right thing to do in my view.
