It is an exciting day as we continue to make progress entering Phase IV of New York State's reopening plan.

The following businesses are slated to reopen under Phase IV:

• Higher Education
• Low-Risk Outdoor Arts & Entertainment
• Low-Risk Indoor Arts & Entertainment
• Media Production
• Professional Sports Competitions with No Fans
• Food services, include restaurants food trucks and other food concessions, many of which had been eligible for takeout and outdoor dining services previously.

Included in Phase IV, are social gatherings of up to 50 people as well as indoor religious gatherings up to 33 percent of the indoor capacity.

Also, today I announced the creation of two new business assistance programs geared toward assisting Yonkers businesses that were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, including those serving in low income or highly distressed areas. Eligible businesses will be provided funding through the Yonkers Industrial Development Agency (YIDA) and Community Development Block Grants, managed by the City’s Planning and Development department.

I encourage small business owners to take advantage of this program. Together, we can strengthen and restore our small business community. We have made great progress together, let's continue down that same path. Continue to wear a mask and practice social distancing when possible.
